Celebrate this year’s winning films of the Bitfilm 08 festival on Tuesday, 15 July at the Bitropolis in Twinity!

The Bitfilm Network, a digital film community, announced the winners of the Bitfilm 08 festival last week. This year’s award-winning films will be screened on Tuesday, 15 July, in the underground art city and Bitfilm virtual capital, Bitropolis, in Twinity.

Time: 18:00 (CET), 12pm (NYC), 00:00 Wed. (Singapore)
Where: Bitropolis

Join us for an evening of progressive cinema, hang out with the Bit crowd and move to the grooves of guest DJs on the Bitfilm dancefloor.

How to get there: Click the globe icon on your toolbar in Twinity, go to Recommended Places and click Bitropolis.

We want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who attended Twinity’s first in-world 80’s party yesterday evening. The music was awesome, the atmosphere totally excellent and the most crowded in-world event thus far!

We will most likely repeat the 80’s party due to all the good response we received throughout the evening! Let us know if you are dying for more 80’s fun by leaving a comment below. Twinity is going totally 80’s big time in the Bodacious Breakfast Club this Thursday, July 10, at 19:00 (CET)! Guest DJs will spin your favorite 80’s classics from Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Visage to The Pretenders and Billy Idol. Wicked!

Blow it out and dye! Like, duh, we mean your hair! Purple or green, wannabe, punk or valley girl - whatever! Join the fun, dress up outrageously and party hearty like it was 1984. It’s going to be totally tubular, dude!

We’ll provide awesome visuals on the dancefloor and pump up the volume on the tunes! Dudes and dudettes, are you stoked or what? Let’s rock the cradle of love!

Due to technical difficulties and the artist suffering from severe exhaustion, Elvis Karabekian’s exhibition in Twinity’s Bitropolis unfortunately has to be postponed.

The rescheduled exhibition will take place in Bitropolis next Tuesday, July 8th, at 18:00 (CET).

No, it’s not the long-gone ‘King of Rock’n'Roll’, but the cybertastic Elvis ‘the Shooting Star of Digital Art‘ Karabekian.
On Tuesday, July 1st at 18:00 (CET), the 20-year-old Elvis Karabekian celebrates the premiere of his first solo digital art exhibition at the Bitropolis Gallery in Twinity. Mr. Karabekian will discuss his series of paintings on opening night, including “Kamikaze (I-III)”, “Jolly Roger”, “Atomic” and “Warhead”.

Everyone at the event receives a limited edition, free Elvis Karabekian t-shirt. Enjoy the art of the future and wear it on your back!

How to get there: Log in to Twinity, click the globe icon in your toolbar and select ‘Bitfilm Bitropolis‘ from Recommended Places. A Twinity representative will direct you to the gallery!

There are two things coming up that will make you rock the bits and bytes in Twinity!

First and foremost, we’ve created a new spacious Welcome Area and are going to celebrate its opening tomorrow evening, 26th June, at 06:00 PM (CET)! We’ll have surprise DJ’s playing rock’n'roll and newly designed informative tutorials to help you get the most out of Twinity. Metaversum staff will be there, as always, to answer your questions. So stop by the party, learn something new and make new friends!

Secondly, you can win a cool prize! Take part in the Design your Apartment Contest and show off your creativity! To enter, send an email by July 3rd to contest@twinity.com from the email address you used to register for Twinity and include your username and the name of your apartment. The winner will be chosen by the Twinity community-at-large. If you participate, you automatically receive an additional 1500 Globals free, and the winner gets a special prize!
