Over at Tapmag, there’s a little post about virtual Berlin.

Twinity, which was released online at the beginning of September, provides a close-to-life animated version of Berlin.

The animation is very life-like - except for the street style, which has been upgraded to chic business looks for the web version from the usual funky Berlin mix. I guess you might have to come here in person to fully experience this city after all.

The CUBIX cinema in Alpha City Berlin at Alexanderplatz opens just in time to coincide with the German premiere of The Dark Knight. A new attraction in Twinity is never complete without an opening party!

Die-hard Batman fans can snap up stylish merchandise for their avatar, admire the virtual Bat Pod, or take a snapshot in a Batman or Joker mask. Check your Gifts folder for Batman and Joker masks to take home with you.

Take part in our Batman Snapshot Contest to have a chance of winning one grand prize and five runner-up The Dark Knight fan packages. All you have to do is:

* Snap a Dark Knight-themed screenshot
* Send it with your Twinity name to darkknight@twinity.com.
* Deadline: 4 September 2008

The lucky winners will be announced at a party in the virtual CUBIX on 9 September. All the winning screenshots will be on show in CUBIX. So what are you waiting for? Hurry down to Alexanderplatz in Alpha City Berlin and check out the new cinematic attraction in Twinity.
