[Operations] Twinity update May 14, 2009

Dear Twinizens,

We just wanted to let you know that we’ve released a new patch today. When you restart the client, the patch will start automatically. This update includes the following:

- Fixed: Teleporting to Berlin errors that some have been receiving recently (arriving in a walled area)
- Fixed: Preview for photos when placing in frames
- Changed default texture setting to High rather than Auto detect. Should this setting slow the performance dramatically, you may need to go to “System -> Display -> Texture Quality” in the client and select a lower setting
- Fixed: Closing of open windows after teleporting to a new location
- Fixed: Access setting “Friends only” was not working properly

Thanks,
Craig

For me these last changes have been an unmitigated disaster. I can hardly login, if I succeed almost every move crashes the client – not a hesitant crash but just being blown out of the client without even a freeze! Something is drastically wrong somewhere, and it’s not me. I was working happily with the last version, more stable than ever. Now I cannot tell when I can login, and it’s never for long.
    What have you done?

@Ingrid, really sorry to hear that. With any change, there’s always a chance that things might not work exactly as they had before, mostly for the better, but sometimes things go a bit weird. Please contact our support team at support (at) twinity dot com and we’ll try to help get this figured out.

    best,
    jeremy
